Good afternoon everyone,
Firstly, apologies if you haven’t heard from me in a little while, I was on annual leave, re-charging the batteries. But I am back now and looking forward to continuing where I left off.
Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the details of next week’s Police Street Surgeries. Please note that everyone is welcome to any of the surgeries, irrespective of which street it is in. If you could please share the dates and locations with friends, family, neighbours and on social media – the more people I speak to at the surgeries the better understanding I’ll have of the issue’s residents want to see addressed - thank you.
Crime Reports
Doorstep Caller – On 20/09/2025 we received a report of a male who was posing as Pizza delivering with an aim of gaining entry to a property. This incident occurred at Forestside Grove, Hanford at approximately 20:15 hours. If you have any CCTV, Dash Cam, Ring doorbell or any other information that may help our enquiries, please call 101 quoting serial 0684 of 20/09/2025.
If you see anything suspicious or have any concerns about anyone attending yours or any other property please call 101 (non-emergency) or 999 (emergency).

Thank you.
Anti-social behaviour report I am aware of reports of a motorbike that has been driving at speed in the early hours of the morning on the A34. I have raised this issue directly with our Road Crime Team. Should the issues continue, please report these incidents via 101 (non-emergencies) or 999 emergencies, where I hope we can the bike stopped.
School patrols & Parking issues
On 18/09/2025 I was present at the Priory CE Academy at the end of the school day. The school have made crucial changes to the main car park (New Inn Lane side). From this patrol I saw a huge improvement in the number of parking issues. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who are supporting the school and have been understanding of the changes. This really does help to create a safer environment to children and their families.
On 19/09/2025 I was present at Ash Green Academy at the end of the school day. I have received concerns raised regarding vehicles continuing to park in Meadowside and on the junctions of roads, such as Parkside. It is crucial that parking restrictions are adhered to – they are there to help keep children and their families safe. This cannot be achieved without everyone playing their part.
Community Speed Watch The Community Speed Watch team are continuing to a fantastic job, helping to raise awareness of the dangers of speeding, something I know many of you are concerned about. On 26/08/2025 they completed Speed Watch on Burrington Dr. 12 Vehicles were recorded as going over the speed limit, the highest recorded speed being 37 mph. On 08/09/2025 the team attended Barlaston Old Road. 12 Vehicles were recorded as going over the speed limit, the highest recorded speed being 43 mph.
The registered keepers of these vehicles will now receive warning letters. In the very near future more streets will be added to list of locations where Community Speed Watch can be carried out. But we do need more volunteers…if you would like any further information please reply to this message and I will be in touch. ***please note that staff from Staffordshire Police involved with Community Speed Watch will be present at the community event at Trentham Gardens below***
